Exploring chayataal

In 2nd December 2022 we went for field trip at chayataal .It is situated at West Sikkim in Hee-kengbari it is in rural area it has very clear and peace environment.It  is also known as Yumang Thegu("Yumang Thegu ") is limboo word.And it's meaning is peaceful and "place to pray". The proposal to build chayataal was on 2006, but it was finally completed in 2017 and it was inaugurated by our former chief minister of Sikkim sri pawan kumar chamling to build this spot on 2017.

It was estimated that the height of statue of srijunga Teyongsi would be 108 feet tall but due some issue  is only 35 feet.And it is very peaceful place and environment also .

There is also a lake just little bit down of the statue.It is to attract tourists and may tourist used to visit this place and it is looked by  tourists department of Sikkim . And there is also hotel and restaurant, homestay guest House is also provided their . And there are many people who work under the guidance of Mr B.L khampak.There are beautiful flowers on the way to statue . And there we get to see many traditions like Bhutia ,limboo, lepcha , gurung etc this all are conserved by their respective people.

Srijunga Teyongsi was a man ,who has lost of knowledge about limboo cultural and traditional etc and actually he was from nepal and he came to Sikkim in 1741.He came in martam and settled there . and also there he began limboo tradition  and many days after he began to influence many people at that time Sikkim was under monarchy rule and at the same time king 👑 was bhutia . When he heard that srijunga Teyongsi was influencing by many people and he is spreading limboo tradition, cultural.

And The king 👑 asked to kill srijunga Teyongsi and  when the srijunga Teyongsi heard that the king had ordered to like him he began to run and he hide in a falls ( " limboo people called this place "Rishi Odhan") which is famous as srijunga falls . And there he hide for many days  to save his life but anyhow they catch him and killed him .his body was thrown on kalez khola. And before dying he said that i will be back but it is impossible that he will be back . And  but the revolution, the culture , the tradition which he had  started was still there . and now slowly people  being to read his script and book .limboo people says  that he has not died but he is immortal .he still lives in heart of thousands of limboo communities and it is true that all the limboo people worship him and there are going in the path which he had shown to them .

Lastly there was being construction also it might be very soon there will be second sky walk in Sikkim for tourists attraction and from there you can see many beautiful view so I suggest you people to visit this place when you are coming in west Sikkim so don't forget to visit it . it's really wonderful place once you visit in the place you like to come again and again in this place . everything is provided there .
